Scottish Borders Council has been asked to approve the use of a house in Jedburgh as a childminding business.
The application comes from Cheyenne Yule of Jedbank Grove, with the business to be known as Shaneys Childcare.
The aim is to accommodate between three to six children daily with opening during daytime hours and not on weekends.
No external alterations are planned to the property and there will be “no significant impact on the character of the property or surrounding area”, a submitted report confirms.
The applicant states: “The property will remain a home. Childminding will be carried out indoors and within the garden area for normal outdoor play activities.
“I will care for a maximum of six children, usually three within the Care Inspectorate requirements and ratios.
“The business will be small scale with children arriving and leaving at staggered times. The private drive will be used for this.
“The use of the property will not change in character and there will be no more traffic or disturbance than usual residential use.”
