Constance holds Almond Valley seat

Holyrood veteran Angela Constance secured her fifth term as an MSP representing the Almond Valley Constituency.

Ms Constance, first elected in 2007 won 16,944 votes to secure her seat in Holyrood well ahead of Scottish Labour’s Jordon Stokoe who collected 8,035 votes.

Conservative Damian Doran-Timson, the Tory group leader on West Lothian Council was pushed into fourth place with 2501 votes behind Malcolm Kevin Jones for Reform who collected 6,831 votes.

Lib Dem Caron Lindsay collected 2,307 votes.

As in the Bathgate constituency and also across in the East Falkirk and Linlithgow constituency the turnout was down on 2021. Only 56.2% of constituents voted – at total of 36, 618 compared to a turnout of 61.1% in 2021.
