Hearts-v-Nordsjaelland-15th-Oct-2026

Written by Midlothian View Reporter, Adam Bowen

Hearts made two changes to their starting 11 from Saturday’s demolition job. Altena dropped to the bench with Borchgrevink coming in. Ague’s injury meant that McEntee came into the starting lineup.

Kabore, Kingsley, Pollock, Clark and Gillies all came into the matchday squad, on the bench.

Nordsjaelland came the closest in 23rd minute after Miller gave the ball away cheaply, allowing the visitors to counter with the shot hitting the post.

First goal came for Hearts when their corner found McCart who headed it forward, dropping toward goal McEntee who was the first to react, outstretched nipping the ball past the keeper.

On the 40th minute mark, Wilson was played through, he didn’t have the greatest of touches, but he chased the defender down in the box wining it back before he felt a push in the back and went down. Referee waved play on, much to the stadium’s discontent.

Hearts came very close to a second on the stroke of half time when a header led to numerous follow ups which the Danish side somehow kept out before the keeper eventually managed to scramble the ball away.

Around the 50th minute mark Miller’s pressure meant that a looping ball wasn’t dealt with by Lahteenmaki which McPake pounced on, one-on-one with the keeper he dragged his shot wide of the far post.

Kerjota came on for Braga in the 71st minute. Braga didn’t seem very happy about it and had a little moan at Vrancken whilst pointing to his own head. I imagine Vrancken was taking him off as he was worried Braga was going to pick up a second yellow, as he did come close to it earlier on.

Wilson came off for JJ Williams in the 78th min.

Williams committed a great challenge on the halfway line, but McPake had ran too far forward so Nordsjaelland picked the ball up and drove on. They played it in the box for a little bit before laying it off to substitute, Rojkjaer who took a clever fake shot touch forward to give him space before his outside of the box shot deflected off McCart into the corner of the Hearts net. That goal made it 1-1 with 3 of the 90 to be played.

Hearts then made a triple change with Altena, Kingsley and Mato all on. McPake, Milne and McEntee came off. These substitutes were lined up before the goal went in.

The Danish side really put the pressure on in additional time however the game ended 1-1.

The points were shared at Tynecastle Park tonight; which I’m sure many Jambos would have taken before the game, however after conceding late on I think the main feeling around the ground was that of disappointment.
