Four community organisations have been awarded a total of £52,500 in the latest round of grants from the Co’path & Cove Community Fund, supporting the local community café, coastal environmental education, mental wellbeing, and family support.
The latest funding round supported two continuation projects, building on pilots previously backed by the Fund. These include Cockburnspath Village Hall, which was awarded £10,990 to continue employing a part-time chef for the community café, enabling extended opening hours and a consistent, varied food offering that reduces social isolation.
Groundswell Community Project also received funding to continue its services over the next three years, with £22,000 awarded to run a seasonal programme combining surf therapy, nature-based wellbeing, and community environmental action.

Berwickshire Marine Reserve was awarded £17,500 to pilot a Coastal Beach School, developing curriculum-linked resources, training staff, delivering coastal activities, funding transport, and evaluating outcomes to foster environmental stewardship.
Finally, ParentSpace was awarded £1,950 to deliver a six-week parenting support course in Cockburnspath, together with twelve follow-up one-to-one online sessions, helping local parents build confidence, strengthen parenting relationships, and reduce isolation.
The announcement comes as the Co’path & Cove Community Fund also marks the successful conclusion of the pilot phase of its Education & Training Fund. Launched in March 2026, the pilot has awarded £20,700 to nine local residents. Grants have supported driving lessons to help residents access education and employment opportunities, course fees for professional qualifications, including a Certificate in Counselling Skills and a Pool Lifeguarding qualification, and accommodation, living, and travel costs for residents studying at university in subjects including Computer Arts, Law, and Diagnostic Radiography.

The Co’path & Cove Community Fund is a vehicle through which six different wind farm funds are routed, and is administer by Foundation Scotland.
