Families across Midlothian are being invited to an afternoon of harvest and Halloween fun at the Glencorse Centre in Auchendinny next month.
The free Harvest Halloween Fest will take place on Sunday, October 18, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, celebrating another growing season at Glencorse Community Garden.
The family-friendly event will feature a range of activities, including a bouncy castle, face painting, hair wraps, a Halloween disco, pumpkin crafts and a garden scavenger hunt.
Visitors will also be able to get involved with seasonal activities including apple food preparation and digging up potatoes, while a visiting tractor will be on display.
Fancy dress is encouraged for those who want to embrace the Halloween theme, although there will be no competition or prizes.
Seasonal refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon from Two Pines Café, including autumn-inspired bakes, sweet treats and warming drinks.
Families can also book a mini autumn photo session with Antler & Moon Photography.
The 10-minute sessions will run from 1pm to 4pm and cost £35 per family, including two professionally edited digital photographs.
Azim Un Nisa, Centre Manager at the Glencorse Centre, said: “Our Harvest Halloween Fest is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate everything that’s been achieved in the community garden this year while bringing local families together for a fun afternoon.
“Whether you’ve visited the centre before or are coming along for the first time, we’d love to welcome you and share everything that makes this space so special to our community.”
The festival is free to attend, although donations will be welcomed.
The Glencorse Centre said donations help support the community garden and allow it to continue providing events and activities for local people.

The autumn photo sessions will begin at 1pm.
