Carriageway resurfacing works will be carried out in Mill Wynd in Haddington.
These essential improvements by East Lothian Council are scheduled to begin on Monday, 3 August and are expected to last for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.
To ensure the safety of both road users and site operatives, it will be necessary to closed Mill Wynd to vehicular traffic from Monday to Friday each week. The second phase will be undertaken from the junction with Hailes Green to the junction with the Aubigny Sports Centre car park.
A diversion route for vehicles will be signposted. Emergency and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times, and vehicular access will be reinstated outside working hours wherever practicable.
There will be no restrictions in place on Saturday’s or Sunday’s. Advance notice of restrictions will be provided by yellow information signs and ‘No Waiting’ cones in affected areas.
Refuse and recycling collections will be conducted where practical. Residents have been asked to ensure their bins and boxes are presented by 7am on collection days.
A council spokesperson said: “We apologise for any inconvenience while these essential improvements take place, and we will make every effort to complete this work as swiftly as possible.
“Please be aware the start and finish dates are subject to change due to the weatherdependent nature of the works.
“Updates on road restrictions will be published on www.tellmescotland.gov.uk which we use to notify the public of roadworks and temporary traffic management arrangements.”
