Sam Fender will bring his biggest headline tour to date to Edinburgh next summer, with a stadium show at Scottish Gas Murrayfield on Thursday, July 8, 2027.
The singer-songwriter has announced a major UK and Ireland stadium tour, taking in six cities alongside a headline appearance at Belgium’s Rock Werchter festival.
The tour will begin with two shows at Newcastle’s St James’ Park on June 3 and 5, before heading to Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 10 and London’s Wembley Stadium for two nights on June 18 and 20.
Fender will then play Dublin’s Marlay Park on July 1, followed by Rock Werchter on July 3, before arriving in Edinburgh on July 8. The tour will conclude with two performances at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on July 15 and 17.
British alternative rock band Wunderhorse will support Fender at all UK stadium dates.
Fans can access the ticket presale for UK and Irish headline shows by pre-ordering Fender’s fourth album through his official store before 9am on Monday, October 26. Presale codes and links are due to be emailed by 8pm on Tuesday, October 27, ahead of the presale opening at 9.30am on Wednesday, October 28.
Scotland Supporters Club Plus members will also have access to a presale on Thursday, October 29, with details to be emailed in advance.
General sale tickets will be available from 9.30am on Friday, October 30. Presale access does not guarantee tickets, and purchases are limited to six tickets per person.
Hospitality packages for the Murrayfield show are also available through Murrayfield Experience.
Fender released his third album, People Watching, in 2025. The critically acclaimed record topped the UK album chart and went on to win the 2025 Mercury Prize.
His song Rein Me In, originally performed with Olivia Dean before being released as a duet, enjoyed a record-breaking run at number one in 2026, spending 23 non-consecutive weeks at the top of the UK singles chart. The track also won the BRIT Award for Song of the Year.
The Murrayfield concert adds to a busy programme of major events at the Edinburgh stadium, which hosts international rugby, concerts and other large-scale gatherings.
Scottish Rugby said an independent assessment published in 2025 valued the organisation’s economic contribution to Scotland at £120.4 million for the period from June to December 2024. This included home matches, concerts and other events, with £41.9 million spent by visitors from outside Scotland.
