ScotRail is adding more seats and extra services to help football fans travel to the men’s Premier Sports Cup semi-finals in Glasgow this weekend.
Rangers play Aberdeen at Barclays Hampden in the first match on Saturday, 31 October (17:30 kick-off), before Heart of Midlothian take on Hibernian on Sunday, 1 November (15.00 kick off).
ScotRail has confirmed additional trains, and extra seats will be added to services between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida and Kings Park before and after the matches to help supporters attend the games.
On Saturday, Aberdeen fans will queue for services to Kings Park via the main concourse at Glasgow Central, while Rangers supporters will queue for services to Mount Florida via the carriage driveway on Hope Street.
After the match, Aberdeen fans will travel via Kings Park, while Rangers’ supporters will use Mount Florida.
On Sunday, Hearts fans should queue for their train from Glasgow Central to Mount Florida via the carriage driveway on Hope Street, while Hibs fans should queue on the main concourse for services to Kings Park.
Customers who would travel to and from Glasgow on services via Glasgow Central Low Level should be aware that due to planned engineering works on Saturday and Sunday, no trains will run between Partick and Rutherglen. Customers should use alternative routes or stations where possible.
Fans should allow additional time for travel as queuing systems will be in place at Glasgow Central before the match, and at Mount Florida / Kings Park after the final whistle.
To reduce the need to queue on the day, customers are encouraged to buy return tickets in advance on the ScotRail app. Ticket are also available on the ScotRail website, at a ticket office, or self-service ticket machines.
ScotRail will have extra staff on hand to assist customers.
