ScotRail train at Eskbank Station

ScotRail is making it even easier for country music fans to take the train to see American superstar Luke Combs’ two sell out gigs at Scottish Gas Murrayfield this weekend.
The train operator is adding more carriages for the concerts by the ‘What You See Is What You Get’ star as he brings his ‘My Kinda Saturday Night Tour’ to the home of Scottish Rugby on Friday, 24 and Saturday, 25 July.
To support customers travelling to and from the gigs, ScotRail will have extra carriages to services on key routes in and out of Edinburgh over the two days, including Aberdeen, Dundee, the Borders, and Fife.
Customers travelling to Scottish Gas Murrayfield are advised to use Haymarket station, which is a short walk or tram ride from the stadium.
Passengers are reminded they should buy their tickets for travel before boarding or they could be liable to pay the train operator’s £10 minimum fare (exemptions apply, see ScotRail website for details). Tickets are available in advance through the ScotRail app, website, ticket offices, or self-service ticket machines.
After the concerts, queuing systems will be in place at Haymarket station to help customers board trains as safely as possible, so fans should make their way to the station as soon as they can
People should join the queue on Haymarket Terrace where they’ll be directed to the correct platform for their train home.
ScotRail are adding staff throughout the two days to provide information and assistance, helping customers enjoy a smooth and comfortable journey.
Due to a recent fire on Princes Street, a part of the street remains closed. As a result, customers who normally travel to Waverley and continue by foot or tram to Murrayfield will be redirected. Journeys will take longer than normal, so please plan ahead, and consider using Haymarket station instead.

“Trains on key routes in and out of the capital will have additional carriages and we’re asking customers to plan ahead, ensure they have their train tickets before they get on the train, and allow more time for their journey.”
