International football fans heading to Barclays Hampden for Scotland’s UEFA Nations League matches are being encouraged to travel by train.
The men’s national team host Switzerland on Tuesday, 29 September at 19:45, before Slovenia visit the national stadium the following week, on Tuesday, 6 October at 19:45.
To help fans travel to and from the games, ScotRail has confirmed extra carriages and additional services will operate between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida before and after the matches.
Mount Florida is just a five-minute walk from the stadium, and customers should travel early and allow plenty of time for entry into the ground.
Regular customers who travel via Mount Florida should be aware services may be busier than usual before each match.
Queuing systems will be in place at Glasgow Central before the game and at Mount Florida after the final whistle. To ensure a smooth journey home, fans are encouraged to head back to Mount Florida station promptly after the matches.
Customers should join the queue for Mount Florida on Bolton Drive, which is accessed via Cathkinview Road. All other roads leading to the station will be closed to football traffic.
To keep things moving efficiently, Cathcart station is available for customers travelling home via Neilston, and people heading to stations via Newton should consider travelling from Kings Park station.
Fans can buy their return tickets in advance via the ScotRail app, website, at a ticket office, or self-service ticket machine.

“To help make their journey as seamless as possible, we’ll be adding more seats and extra services to and from Mount Florida – before and after both matches.
“Mount Florida station is only a short walk from the stadium, making travel with ScotRail a convenient, reliable, and green way to get to the game.
“Fans attending the match should plan ahead, allow some extra time for their journey, and buy their return tickets in advance.”
