Knoll Community Hospital, Duns

Services at a Berwickshire hospital returned to normal today after a blaze at the facility earlier this week.
Outpatients faced disruption following the fire at the Knoll Hospital in Duns on Wednesday, August 5.
The incident was attended promptly by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and an NHS Borders spokesperson expressed thanks for the swift and professional response.
All patients, staff and contractors who were on site at the time were reported safe and accounted for and there were no injuries.
But as a result of the incident there was disruption to outpatient clinic services based at the Knoll Hospital site while a full assessment of the building was carried out.
Now NHS Borders has confirmed that all services can safely recommence as normal from today.
GP appointments at Merse Medical Practice in Duns are also running as planned.
If you have a clinic appointment scheduled at the Knoll you should attend as usual.
An NHS Borders spokesperson said: “We would like to thank patients, staff and contractors for their patience, understanding and support following the incident.”
