Community groups, charities and social enterprises are invited to apply for funding through Midlothian Council’s 2027-30 Large Grants Programme.
The funding programme supports projects that help reduce inequalities for Midlothian residents. Successful organisations can apply for funding covering a three-year period, receiving between £20,000 and £45,000 each year.
The funding supports organisations with a strong understanding of local needs and a proven track record of delivering positive outcomes in their communities.
Applications close at midnight on Sunday 18 October 2026, with funding decisions due to be announced in December 2026.

The Large Grants Programme has played an important role in supporting communities across Midlothian.
Since 2022, the programme has funded 28 projects through a total investment of £2.6 million. This has helped organisations respond to local needs, develop new initiatives and expand existing services that have collectively supported thousands of residents.
