West Lothian Chamber of Commerce is to run a series of free clinics aimed at helping the growth of local businesses.
The weekly gatherings will be held on Friday mornings at the Chamber’s HQ at Alba Innovation Centre in Livingston.
Running from 10am-noon, each session will feature a number of Chamber member businesses with expertise in different areas, such as finance, HR, procurement, digital marketing and leadership development.
Included in the clinics will be one-to-one sessions, giving fellow members the opportunity to ask questions and receive practical advice on specific business challenges.
The initiative will be launched with two pilot clinics, the first one on Friday, 30 October followed by another on Friday, 20 November, with the plan to roll them out on a regular basis in 2027.
Linda Scott, West Lothian Chamber of Commerce chief executive, said:
“The clinics are designed to create value on both sides. Attending members can access practical advice and specialist knowledge to help address business challenges, explore new ideas and identify opportunities for growth.
“Meanwhile, the businesses delivering the sessions can showcase their expertise, raise awareness of their services and build relationships with potential clients and fellow members.
“Our aim is to establish the business clinics as a regular programme throughout next year and beyond. We believe there is real potential to develop an initiative that makes the expertise within our membership more accessible, while creating opportunities for collaboration and business development.
“Ultimately, we want to create opportunities for our members to learn from one another, share knowledge and strengthen connections across the local business community.”
