Brass Tracks will perform a musical journey spanning five centuries at Peebles’ Eastgate Theatre later this month as part of the Music in Peebles concert season.

The brass quintet Brass Tracks will bring 500 years of music to Peebles’ Eastgate Theatre on Thursday, October 29.

The concert, starting at 7.30pm, will feature a programme spanning centuries of musical styles, from compositions by Beethoven and Bizet to modern classics by Erroll Garner and Paul McCartney, alongside Scottish pieces.

Brass Tracks was formed by Edinburgh trumpeters Finlay Hetherington and John Sampson. Its members are drawn from some of Scotland’s leading brass musicians, with experience across television, theatre, education, orchestral and chamber music, and brass bands.

The performance is part of the ongoing Music in Peebles concert season at the Eastgate Theatre.

Further concerts scheduled for later this year include an all-American programme by the Resol Quartet on November 19, marking the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, and a traditional jazz performance by Quattro MacJazz on December 17.

Tickets for the Brass Tracks concert cost £22 and are available through the Eastgate Theatre on 01721 725777.

More information about the concert season is available at Music in Peebles and Eastgate Theatre.
