People of all ages will have the chance to try their hand at playing a musical instrument at a free event in Gorebridge later this month.
St David’s Brass is inviting complete beginners and returning musicians to its Pitch Up and Play session at Vogrie Hall on Sunday, October 25.
Running from 2pm to 4pm, the drop-in event is open to anyone aged five to 95, with no previous musical experience or knowledge required.
A range of brass and percussion instruments will be available to try, including trumpets, trombones, tubas and snare drums.
Experienced players will also be on hand to help participants learn the basics and make their first sounds.
Visitors can drop in at any time during the two-hour session, whether they want to spend 20 minutes trying one instrument or stay longer to experiment with several.
All instruments will be provided, and attendance is free.
