Parkinson’s UK is hosting an event next week to meet with members of the community in Midlothian.
Staff from the charity will be at the Gorebridge Beacon between 1pm and 3pm on Wednesday 26 August.
Area Development Manager, Anita Jefferies, and Parkinson’s Local Adviser, Natalie Blair, will be on hand to talk about the services and support Parkinson’s UK provides.
The team are keen to meet with as many people as possible, who are either living with Parkinson’s or supporting someone who does.
“Parkinson’s is a complex condition, which affects everyone differently, and it’s on the rise,” explained Anita.
“It’s so important that people can access the support they need to live well with Parkinson’s. Whether it’s advice at the time of diagnosis, tips on day-to-day living with the condition, or help navigating the benefits process.
“We’re eager to engage the community in Midlothian so people know about the services we offer. We also want to understand their needs and how we might help more.
“We hope as many people as possible can make it along.”
